Our Poetry
Haiku by Laura Barnes
Flowering deep pink
    in December my cactus
        loses its mind.
A slow avalanche
   Of scentless trees reminds me
       To stuff and bother.
The boiler, metal,
    whirring, ticking, is not
        exactly the sun.
Something quite heavy
   stirs my snowless dreaming.
      nuts, pants, tangerines.
