About Kuja Tribal
Basic Info: Kuja Tribal, most commonly called simply 'Kuja', is the obvious villain in Final Fantasy IX. She shows up early, though not as early as Kefka does in FF6. A note: By now, I'm sure you've noticed that I hold somewhat different views about this genome then most people hold; most obviously regarding gender. After much study, I have decided that Kuja is female, for reasons detailed elsewhere on my page. History: Kuja is the oldest of the 'Angels of Death' at 24. Her 'siblings', more so then any other random genome, are the other two Angels of Death, Zidane and Mikoto. Zidane is 20, I believe, and Mikoto's age is unknown, but she is the youngest. About Dagger: Kuja also seems to harbor romantic feelings for princess Garnet Til Alexanderos the 17th. That, of course, leads to problems. I suspect SquareSoft of deliberatly calling Kuja a male in English, specifically to -avoid- the possible lesbain interest. And in all truth, I can't really blame them.
Role in the Game: Kuja's role in the game is, quite simply, villain, with a good does of hotness thrown in for good measure. She usurps the power of her creator, Garland, and wishes to -rule- the world in an eternal kingdom, actually pretty benevolent as Square villains go. However, at the moment of her asention over Garland, when she is at the peak of her power, she learns that she is -not- the immortal she thought herself to be. She is only a stand in, a temporary Angel, made to last only until Zidane came of age. This knowledge sends her mad (what IS it with insane Square villains, anyway?), and she then decides that if she cannot rule the world, she will destroy it. I will avoid the psychoanilyzing I could do here. Destroying the one world, Terra, her birth land, is acheved in a stunning FMV. She then moves on to Gaia, the land Zidane was raised in. Stopping her is, of course, the main point of the game. There's quite a lot more I could say about her life, but I can't summerize the entire game in one small (or not so small) paragraph. Sorry.
