In recent years, developments in healing through electrical and magnetic therapies have increased dramatically. In the treatment of sprains, broken bones, burns, and cuts, not only does magnetic field therapy aid in the recovery, but it allows these conditions to heal better, quicker, and with less scar tissue (better symmetry). In injuries, magnetic treatment has been shown to decrease healing time by half or more.

Much research and interest is now directed towards the electrical nature of life. Scientists have established without any doubt that living cells are electrical in nature. The functioning of the cells in the nervous system of every human being is based on direct current (DC) and pulsed energy. Without this energy, there is no life; each individual cell possesses a positive electrical charge on its outer membrane.
Various ways that magnetic fields affect the body:

1. Increased blood flow with increased oxygen-carrying capacity, both of which are basic to helping the body heal itself.

2. Change the migration of calcium ions, which can bring calcium ions to a broken bone and accelerate the healing process, or can help move them away from painful arthritic joints.

3. The pH (acid-alkaline) balance of various body fluids can be altered; these are often out of balance when an illness or abnormal condition occurs.

4. Hormone production from the endocrine glands increase or decrease due to the introduction of magnetic stimulation. There are changes to the body that includes electricity generated in the blood vessels, an increase in the ionized particles in the blood, autonomic nerves excited, and an improvement in circulation.
