Old Tales
Kawayway, in Murcia is the original home of the Lincos. They owned an arable land that was brimming with nature's bounty. This was lost, sadly due to a Monte bet. Monte is a card game which Lolo Pecto liked to play. The family lived in many places all over Bacolod after that. These included: Punta Mabolo, Belmonte, Trece y Media and Punta Taytay where Lola Peling died.
Pacing and Conching met during the war. They are distant relatives being Bellezas who hid together in the mountains during the Japanese invasion. They were married in the mountains and had their first child, Minda, in the midst of war. Lucy was born during the Liberation and the rest of the brood after that.
Naro originally courted Nening Minda who by then already has three children. She asked Naro to go on a date with her younger sister, Lucy, instead. After a party they both attended, Naro and Lucy sat on the porch talking when Lola Peling saw them and angrily sent them away, never to return, unless they have a marriage certificate! The rest is history.
Naro and Lucy had a terrible fight in the early 1990's due to Naro's philadering ways. He has sired a daughter by another woman and Lucy had accepted the child, even offering to raise it as her own. Connie, along with Anne had to to go home to Bacolod to sort them out.
