1959 Rambler 6 Super Wagon
The 59 Rambler 6 Super Wagon is a project car that I picked up for $300 in May, 2003.  It has a the flathead 196 straight 6 engine, 3 speed with overdrive on the column, and a blown reverse in the tranny and a frozen axle in the rear end.

Modifications we are making are as such: A 1965 Impala Bel Aire 3.73 geared non-posi rear end that was pulled from the local junkyard for $125. (it took longer to get them to move the cars than it did to get the rear end out).  Everything is perfect on the rearend, inside and out, besides the drum brakes, which need a rebuild, and two new drums.  This will be caressed into the rear end of the Rambler. We expect to do a small amount of fabrication, but once and done, it will sit nice, with the help of air shock boosters and some 15" Chevy rims.

The rest of the drive line is as follows: the drive shaft from the Impala may not be a perfect fit, it will be shortend if necessary, or a replacement found.  It will be mating with a replacement transmission, a 3sp Saginaw that will work with the column shifter and the original motor.  Plans are in the making for a v-8 swap in the fall, sooner if possible.

The rest of the car is not too bad, the doors panels were removed so I can re-upolster them in black newleather and snakeskin door handles.  The windshield visors will be covered in black leather.
