Wyrmblade

This truly wondrous weapon was one of the first few that I have forged myself with the tutelage of my uncle Zedalimir. When I had newly arrive on Krynn I met Molly (my future wife) and her slinky mage companion Stormy. On one adventure we came across a mountain range that seemed to be covered in fog. Wondering about this, we proceeded to explore the mountains when we discovered a vale in its midst. On one end of the vale was a hill with a old rundown keep, the other was a huge stone dragon! I have never seen one of that size! We soon realized that the dragon, though life like, is accually a monolith or building structure of grand dimensions. It boggles the mind to think of the length of time it would have taken to build such a thing, yet even the labor involved. We perused the keep and it from what Stormy said it was an abandoned Solomnic outpost. She then proceeded to chant in a strange language while making gestures with her hands in the air. After a few minutes she stopped and informed us that this was the resting place of Huma, a legend of this world. She also said that the stone dragon contains great power inside (she said this with bright, hungry eyes that gave me goose bumps all over). We then looked for a way into the dragon. We discovered an entrance in the back between the wings. As we searched in side we found a huge forging chamber with a half dozen bright lances stacked to one side, a burning forge with a huge anvil, a pool of what looked like at the time quicksilver, and a hammer of anceint design. Stormy and Molly quickly made their way to the lances while I studied the pool, forge, and hammer. They then said that they have what they wanted and that it was time to leave. I told them that I would catch up with them at Palanthus and to go on. At this point I called on for Kyryn (a friend who is also a silver dragon) and he informed me that the metal in the pool was dragonmetal. With his help I labored for over a week, using all the skills of smithying taught by my uncle. The hammer help a great deal and seemed to have a special enchantment for forging this metal. In the end I had created a masterpiece. My greatest creation to date. Even my uncle was proud of my work.

Special Abilities:

* 2x damage to dragonkin (draconian
   wyvern, etc....)
* 3x damage to dragons
* gives wielder dragon senses
* will glow in the presence of any
   dragon (even polymorphed)
* natural roll of higher than 16
   does damage equal to wielder's
   hps (no less than 3x damage)
* save vs breathe weapon means no
   damage taken (failure takes half)

Note: this weapon is extremely sharp
         and should be handled with
         extreme care. The process to
         forge takes anywhere from 2
         to as much as 5 months. The
         special abilities were imbued
         not by myself but more likely
         were the by product of the
          hammer.
