Stormy's Pouch Of Experience Holding (ITEM)
While adventuring around in Ravenloft, the powers that be thought it would be loads of fun to mess with our healing spells and devices. After a few members of our party tryed to heal and wound up with additional limbs or missing limbs, I swore I would never go back to that horrible place without making something so that we could heal. The trade off, of course, had to be something valuable enough to convince the powers that be to let me make this object. What I came up with was the Stormy Pouch Of Experience Holding. After all the sneers from my fellow party members piped down, I noticed they all wanted one...and who wouldn't...think about it before you just blow it off.
Original Idea (Option #1): Store a certain amount of experience points you earn in the pouch. You will have to have the pouch on your character when the experience points are handed out. Then, trade the experience points for HP in a crunch. DM/GM SET THE LIMITS: We recommend setting limits for how many experience points can be stored in the pouch at any given time. We also recommend setting a transfer rate. {Example: 1,000 experience points = 10HP.} As each group of people plays in a different style, it's up to your DM/GM to set these limits. Heal The Masses Idea (Option #2): Decide if the pouch can only be used by the person storing the experience points, or if the experience points can be transfered to an ailing comrade. DM/GM SET THE LIMITS: We recommend setting a lower transfer rate if healing is used by a person other than the person storing the experience points. {Example: 1,500 experience points = 10HP.} Experience Transfer Idea (Option #3): Another idea is to use the pouch to transfer actual experience points to lower level characters you are trying to build up. DM/GM SET THE LIMITS: We recommend setting maximum limit to the amount of experience that can be transfered using this item We also recommend building in a negative effect to using this item, such as the person whose experience is transfered would lose all memory of the time during which the experience was gained.
