Perhaps the most ruthless of all the families, the Pan-Lung family once ruled the land until the Emperor of Tanaka took the throne. Unlike the rest of his family, the new Emperor tried to change the way the land was governed. His daughter, Padmin, also believed in her father�s quest to change the past and make up for their family�s mistakes, but his two sons, listening to the whispers of the other family members, killed their father and planned to take over the throne. With her father dead, Padmin fled the kingdom while the two sons argued over the rightful heir to the throne. With the kingdom falling apart, the Shou-Lung family helped start a civil war to gain independence from the Pan-Lung family. Fearing the loss of their power, the Pan-Lung family blamed the Naga family for the death of the Emperor so they would be exiled from the land. The Pan-Lung family knew they would be defeated if both families fought together. The Shou-Lung family, with the help of the Kando family, won independence for the people, and the Pan-Lung family was forced to retreat to their keep on the outskirts of the land.
The family, to this day, continues to scheme and manipulate to regain power. Head of the family is Kuru, regarded as a modest fighter, but in fact is a Ninja who is willing to do anything to reclaim the throne for himself and his family.
