The Kando family has an ancestral alliance with the Shou-Lung family following their loyalty during the civil war which ripped through the land almost 10 generations ago. Many marriages have been arranged between the two families, including a recent marriage between Akira Shou-Lung and Hiro Kando. The couple is currently awaiting the arrival of their first child.
The Kando family are made up of Kensai, with each family member devoting themselves to mastering the Sang Kauw, a martial arts pole arm with a blade at each end and a crescent blade in the center of the weapon. The family takes great pride in the weapon that has been handed down through each generation of sons.
