The Amano family was once a great family of warriors, but the civil war ended in their defeat alongside the Pan-Lung family. The family is now mostly made up of Yakuza, feared among the people for their merciless tactics. The bloodlines of the original family have been lost for many generations, each member of the family now has been hand selected by the oyabun. They secretly remain in the good graces of the Pan-Lung family, and have vowed to fight alongside Kuru Pan-Lung should the opportunity to seize control present itself.
The family is currently headed by Oni Amano, a man with no conscience and a lust for money and power. Oni is convinced that with his thugs, he could steal the throne from Kuru should they manage to get the Pan-Lung family back in power. His family has no money, so he needs Kuru for his resources and money to get the throne for himself.
