BODY WORK and PAINT
12/01/2002

First, I pulled the interior out of the truck, I've cleaned and inspected each part as I'm tearing it down, unfortunately most of the interior needs
to be replaced. Pulled the doors off and found a nice surprise, the doors are brand new GM, so their in good shape, no rust and with only one coat of paint.

Second, I pulled the front clip off, found another nice surprise, the fenders and hood are also brand new GM. The hood is wrong, the front lip should be flat, but thats a minor detail that doesn't bother me. I'll need to replace the front fender well's and maybe the core support, battery rot!

Third, had some friends come over and had them help me take the bed and the cab off, I needed to replace the bushings, so with alittle extra time, it seam easier to just remove it. I had planned on taking the bed off anyways, I need to disassemble the steps, the surface between them and the box needs to be cleaned and painted, to prevent rust from forming.

Then I power washed the frame and put the cab back on.

I'm currently fixing minor dings on the doors, fenders and hood, then I'll start working on the bed. Hope to have all body and prep work completed by 02/28/02, then I'll add more pictures.
