Ilya Magid WHAT ARE VERY HAPPY DAYS OF MY LIFE? What are very happy days of my life? Primarily we have to answer one question, "Why do, we live on earth?" Generation replaced generation. I think that the most important thing is to preserve my heritage (nationality, religion). We are chains of connection between the past and future. The first happy day for me was marriage to lovely IRINA. Intermarriage of families is a destructive element of a community. The result is people without roots. (It is interesting the Lenin had from his father 50 % Kalmik blood, and from her mother 25% German and 25% Jewish blood, and did not have any Russian blood. That became known only in the period of 'glastnost', before in the Soviet Union that was a Government secret.) No religious Jewish families had many chance of being connected with intermarried families. Orthodox religious Jewish families followed tradition. The second happy day for me was when I immigrated to America. Russian is not so good a country for the Jewish community. We did not have a Jewish neighborhood there. Russian nationalism oppressed us.
