Building Cranes


In the Soviet Union in Leningrad you could see many construction cranes. In reality construction projects seemed to take an unnecessarily long time. Near our building they built a recreation center. There was a big area for constructing a plant and there were building cranes and much construction activity with sand, dirt etc., all surrounded by a fence. They built it over more than 10 years. We emigrated in 1991, but they had not yet completed it. If it was necessary to build with high quality and quickly, the Soviet Government hired a construction company from Finland.
