Robin Gray

James's sister Robin would often be compared to the ocean. The way the vastness of ocean can beckon a person to become lost in himself is the way Robin's eyes can make any person drown in her. Just as the ocean can become fierce on minute and calm the next, Robin can change her mood as quickly as the ocean's waves coming up against the shoreline. Robin has an uncontrollable yearning to be free that is brought on by the seemingly endlessness of the eminent ocean. Her love of mystery and danger can be compared to the ocean's hazardous rough waters and the never-ending depths of the sea. No other thing would ever come as close to describing Robin as the ocean and everything it represents.

Life

Life is a period of existence. To a common person, his life has a deeper meaning than the textbook definition. For all people, life starts out simple and fun. It is only after a person grows older that life may seem like a curse. Most people believe that life is the most precious gift, one that should be cherished forever. Others believe life is a downward spiral that jerks everyone around and then you toss your cookies on your affordable shoes when it's over. Life seems to go on forever even when you want it to stop. It can also be too short like a long piece of thread that was cut in the middle by the legendary Fates. There are people who think that if life were exactly like the textbook definition, then everyone's life would never be too much of something. Perhaps, maybe there would be no real point to try to live it.

A Reason to Believe

Sometimes a person has to let go of the anxiety that clings to him and dive headfirst into the sea of the unknown. Once there was a man who had an exceptional talent, but no one had a clue about it. This guy had the most captivating voice that no one would ever hear. He was shy and a little fearful to make it known to the public. One day his lover broke up with him. That day all he could feel was pain and longing, so he packed a bag and headed for some twinkling lights. While on the verge of drunkenness, he got up on the make shift stage and bellowed the saddest song he could think of. Surprisingly, he sounded amazing in spite of the drunkenness. He figured if he can sing this well while drunk and heartbroken, then maybe he can make it a go while being his regular self.

A Memory

A memory by definition is the ability to recall past experiences. To a person a memory can stand for beautiful moments frozen in time. For other people a memory is lost to them like a little lamb who is lost from his flock. Some memories are forever burned in a person's mind like the charred remains of burnt flesh. Since those memories are tough to get rid of, a person will do just about anything to repress them. A memory can also play tricks on a person's mind like one of those 3-D images that can take a person a long time to figure out. A memory can be as vulnerable as a newborn baby, since it can easily receive suggestions whether good or bad. Memories will remain with a person for the rest of his life whether he remembers them or not, and also a memory of the person he once was can remain with those he has left behind.
