Darth Aid
Helping the Rich get Richer
Shocking, some of the world's most rich and powerful people face hardship every single day.

Darth Bob and the Shotgun council heard some of these stories first hand and decided that something had to be done - with the power of song.

After speaking with numerous artists who felt as strongly as we did, we were able to put on a huge concert to raise money for those who really needed it.
A review of the event (abriged from What News of the World)
If there has ever been an event in human history that forced the spectator to cover as many human emotions as this one, then I am yet to see it. From start to finish 'Darth Aid' was a triumph. We cried, laugh, sang, danced and praised Darth Bob for giving us not just the event, but the message that went with it.

The event was three fold, with one event in Chelmsford, one in Southend and another in Romford. All three points of the People's Republic of Magic were covered. Beginning at 10.00am in Romford, presenter Terry Wogan (pictured)
introduced the first act, the highly acclaimed Christian Fundamentalist Band 'Swan Song'. They were

politely recieved, but the crowd knew much better was to come. Following this introduction, the crowds got there first glimpse of the Artist they had all come to see - The Majestic Phil Collins. Phil was aiming to set a new World record by playing in all three corners of the triangle within the same day, a truely epic undertaking. Following a belting version of 'Against all Odds' he departed for
Collins, 52, first came to Darth Bob's attention with his song 'Another Day in Paradise' in which he mocked the world's poor. Since then, he has come to represent all that is good about the arts in the Triangle. Jamie and H say 'Please spare us our lives!'

Chelmsford, for the next leg of his journey. Tearful fans bid him goodbye, rumour has it even the normally stoic CM Kev, head of SOCO, was a little chocked up by the man's endurance.
The show in Southend kicked off with the public execution of the Traitors 'H' from Steps and Jamie 'Wide Tongue mockney twat' Oliver. Following this David Hasselhoff delighted onlookers with his German pop smashes.
David Says ' I've starred in two hit American Series, and had a successful pop career, I owe it all to darth Bob.' Michael Stipe, lead singer of REM, appeared on stage in Chelmsford. Admired throughout the Republic for the song 'Everybody Hurts' - Seen by many as a tribute to SOCO.
Lead Singer of U2, Bono then graced the stage, singing the hit 'One Darth' he spoke passionately about the need to increase third world debt to pay for out own luxury. 'Did you know' He said 'That some of the rich have actually been procecuted for crimes?' The crowd murmered in disbelief ' No its true' he continued ' Only you can make a difference' Michael Says 'It's the end of the world as we know it...'

Following Phil Collins second performance, perhaps the highlight of the Chelmsford show, was also, in many ways, one of the saddest. As I'm sure you all know, European Dance sensation 'Scatman' John tragically passed away in 1999. In an effort to recreate his magic, a large projector was placed behind his original band. Fans were able to watch the Scatman as they best remembered him. In a strange way, the Scatman's appearance reminded people that, although
they were there to have fun, there were serious issues to be considered.
In Romford the show was climixed by two surprise guests, Lord Lucan and Shergar, the Championchip winning horse. Both had disappeared many years ago and were thought lost, but the prospect of Darth Aid, and legal immunity within the Triangle's borders, coxed them out of hiding.
In Southend, shortly before Phil Collins climatic song ' Another Day in Paradise', the audience saw an event the would never forget. Second World War singing icon Dame Vera Lynn, early 1990's hip hop legend
Scatman John says 'De ba ba doh doh doh.' Scatman John's Career spanned the whole of Europe. Much as we plan to.
Shergar Says ' Its cold in here....brrrrrrrrrrrr' Lord Lucan Says 'Ready or not - Coming!'
Dame Vera Says 'I don't know why I sung for democracy, Darth is the future.'
Betty Boo and Star of 'The World's Greatest Gang Bang' Annabel Chong belted out a heart warming rendition of 'We'll Meet Again'
