| a creature that can't be the target of a spell or an abillities, like multani, maro sorcerer, are affected by wrath of gods and flame wave. if you have multani in play and your opponents play wrath of gods, multani is bury because multani can't be the target of a spell or an abilities so wrath of gods target all the creature and not only multani but your opponent can't cast terror on your multani because the card say bury target creature and multani can't be the target. its almost the same thing with flame wave because the card say "flame wave deal 4 damage to target player and each creature he or she control" so multani is not the target, you are the target. The card that can't be play on multani or on a creature that can't be the target of a spell or abillities is a card that say "target creature.." or any enchant creature. But if multani is in your graveyard and you want to bring it back to your hand with a card that say "bring target creature from your graveyard to your hand" can you target multani : yes because if a creature that can't be the tatrget of spell or abillities is in your deck or in your graveyard is abillities only work when is in play. |
