AS SEEN ON DAVID COPPERFIELDS TV SPECIAL

Never in the realm of magic has a close-up effect had the impact of an illusion. This is truly the only way to describe Paul Harriss Immaculate Connection. Tannens Stars of Magic series proudly presents the magical genius of Paul Harris in a new, unique. outstanding presentation of what we feel to be the card trick of the decade. This is a linking card routine - but what a routine! In 1977, CC (Pauls Cardboard Connection) was The Worlds Only Linking Card Routine. Like many P.H. ideas, it caught on; many versions of the effect now exist. Most differ from CC either by not being impromptu or else by not being deceptive to the stereoscopically acute observer. In one way, CC was too good; the link was so unthinkable that many spectators could only bring themselves to accept it as a topological puzzle rather than as a magical phenomenon. Some trusting their reason more than their sense - blamed their memory and refused to believe that they had really seen the linking and unlinking of unbroken rings of pasteboard. In the Immaculate Connection, Paul removes the temptation to regard the effect as a mere puzzle. So spectacularly magical is the first link - one cardboard donut springs into flight and lands hanging crosswise through the other - that there is no way to doubt the miraculous occurrence. As the stunned faculties of the audience reawaken, increasingly open and nonchalant unlinking and linking of the cards abort whatever skeptical theories are beginning to form. Every detail of the handling of the Immaculate Connection is the result of thoughtful analysis and refinement. Performed exactly as described, the routine proceeds as surely and relentlessly as the motion of the stars. If you are one of the thousands of students and admirers of the Stars of Magic series. you will recognize these contributions as belonging to a limited group of world class effects and presentations. Now, the Stars series boasts a dazzling addition to its crown jewels. This effect represents a happy marriage of an appealing and stunning effect with a meticulous, readable manuscript. Stars of Magic, Volume 2, Number 1
