The end... no more little people

So that was that - back to boring, flat Britain. I'd had a great time and was not too pleased about leaving, although we'd spent about the right amount of time there. I really couldn't speak any higher of the place, and would urge anybody to visit the country - and to make the most of it - the jungle will leave you with some of the most amazing memories you could ever imagine. Ecuador is a truly fantastic, unique country with an incredibly diverse environment and genuinely friendly people (who are also very very small). As well as that it's dirt-cheap, high-altitude and you'll get 4 seasons in one day!

If you're after a taste of South America but you don't have a great deal of time, Ecuador is the place to go. It's small enough to travel round easily, but big enough to contain the best bits of the continent. There's the Andes mountain range with its active volcanos, the incredible Amazon Basin and although we didn't go to either - the coast and the famously expensive Galapogos Islands. Travelling around the country is easy, buses are cheap and fun, and flights won't set you back much. Everything in Ecuador is relatively inexpensive - accomodation and meals especially.

What can I say except GO THERE!.... YOU'LL LOVE IT!
