Since Equador is on the Horizon and your photos and stories make it
obscene not to make the effort and visit the place...I thought I`d
write again!
Still travelling (or studying?) on this amazing continent. Actually I`m
in Bolivia with Lucy. In Cochabamba, a beautiful town which beckoned us
to descend from the high Altiplano (which was fucking freezing!) to
explore pre-inca ruins and sample the local beer!
Heading East soon to Santa Cruz and La Higuiera (where Che Guevara made
his last stand) to finish the pilgramage we started with you guys in
July 2000 on the Red Island!

Just thought Id say a quick hello all the way from Bolivia! Well done
for your results...u really are very brainy! I wish I was there to
celebrate it all with you, i do miss you y`know! Hope all goes well
with C, you deserve some tlc. Your pics of the jungle are wicked and i
know u had an excellent time there. Me and Eamon will prob make it to
the jungle here, or in Peru, and i cant wait! Maybe you`ll want some of
the photos for your site?! To all those out there thinking about a
travel/holiday destination, Bolivia is incredible, and very cheap. Ok,

thanks for the fun stories! just returned from ecuador the beginning
of june and i'm missing the place so much i have to suffice reading
travelogues. i had a wonderful time too, was completely captivated;
though i didn't make it to the east for a jungle experience. next
year, i'll surely go. your lodge sounds right on. i'll check them
out. so, now i'm hooked and am planning to return each year, as i've
made a ton of really great friends there. what a place! i'm in love
with all those beautiful people...a life-changing experience.

Mexico at the moment a few weeks away from a month there. Accomodation
sounds scarily pricey as I{m on a 15 quid a day budget! Should I
abandon the plan and maybe head to Guatemala or somewhere else instead?�

Che Chico!
I think I got burnt today and its still technically winter! Shit!
Thought I might add some cultural stuff and tell you that I am rubbish
at table-football. No really, today me and Will went into the
Ministerio de Salud y Accion Social, as that is where Evita�s body was
embalmed. I tell you, these Argentines! We went up to piso 18, the 18th
floor, and saw some amazing views of the city. Buenos Aires goes on
forever! Eamon is either in Brazil or in the Northern provinces, or he
may even be on the Tren de los Nubes, the train to the clouds. I was
desperate to go but I didnt want to miss too many spanish lessons as I
am shite, but I will be going somewhere next week, I just dont know
where yet.
Hope all is well with you. When are u going back to uni? And when are
Rich and Kath back?

My god have I had some weird dreams lately. Last night I dreampt I was
a spider .... A goddam frigging spider with eight frigging legs and all
these kids were pulling me legs out and setting light to me web! I was
not amused. Me Mummy came running in me room cos she heard me
screaming. "Sorry Mum, I thought I was a spider" I was shit scared!

Great site Alex, you should replace Michael Palin as BBC's
comedy/serious issues travel presenter of choice!
You did get afew things wrong though. That guy's name was Eugenio not
Elgenio, I wasn't a fussy eater (see Vinales section) and you forgot to
mention anything about the red, slimy, weird, disgusting sewerage fruit!
Also I think you were a bit unfair on me throughout the whole thing,
what's all this about being fat and slow?!
Anyway, wish I could be writing this from some South American country
like Lucy and Eamon (hope you're both doin' fine), next time I'll make
sure I'm writing from somewhere exotic!

Al, I know that Ive taken half a year to sign this guestbook, but u
know what Im like. This site is wicked, and the way u have written
about stuff is so personal and well thought out - all this from a
cheeky monkey whos also a dab hand at mashed potato. As u can probably
guess, Im hungry so all I can think about is food. But seriously, the
whole thing just proves how much u loved visiting different places in
Latin America, and how much u love ur friends, so there is no excuse, u
HAVE to come to Argentina. Read my last email to you, and when u come,
it will be like that and better. I do miss u actually, despite what u
may think, and I hope that stuffs going alright in Southend. Spoken to

Feels good to be re-living CUBA from Buenos Aires. I didn�t realise you
had the gift of the gab and also the pen. Excellent site, have every
intention of out doing you at some point, but could do with a few
pointers on how to set up my own page! Argentina is great and me and
Lucy expect a visit soon...there is even a malacon...if you�re up for
it.
You realise there is no way back from here....you don�t go to South
America twice in the space of a year and get away from a serious travel
disease that will take you to all the oceans and a couple that haven�t
been discovered yet......
Since you�re gonna be on the road for the next 15 years or so I�ll look
forward to meeting you on a mountain path in the Himalayas or on a
train in Bolivia....

Quite impressive for a southern fairy!!!! Sweet as Alex! It was soooo
amazing that I didn't actully talk for a whole hour- shit it must have
been good!! Brought back loadsa wicked memories. Hope UR well and
behavin urself in sunny Southend- hope ur not randomly groping the
ladies and feeding them ur cheesy chat-up lines!?! I here Knebworth was
wicked. Sorry I couldn't make it honey, I was down visiting Neil and
couldn't really afford the ticket. Needless to say, I had a fun weekend
