My country. My home. The United States of America.
My rantings and such.... Now, I understand that many people in this country don't approve of it's government, or it's president, or they think we don't have enough freedom, or they have some other complaint. Well, if you hate it THAT much, GET THE HECK OUT! If you think we have no business being overseas, trying to help the people of other nations, then you can fly your happy lil butt over there and live their yourself, and we'll bring someone over here who will RESPECT and HONOR this country the way it should be! Oh, and another thing: if you don't like our boys who have fought for us, for our freedoms and rights that so many take for granted, then you can switch places with them and risk your neck instead! I understand that there are some wars we should have kept our noses out of, but that's our government making those decisions, NOT your average soldier. All he is doing is following orders. So blame the politics, not the soldier. Now, I do agree that we have lost enough of our men and women in this war, and it's time to bring them home. I personally think we should take our forces out, and make a glass parking lot out of the whole area! We've put in enough time, resources, money, and lost enough lives already. It's obvious to the majority of Americans that they don't want us in their country, so why is it so hard for our government to see this? Stop playing your stupid political games, and get our guys outta there! And another thing, this is to the immigrants who are flooding our nation. If you are going to come here, take our jobs, take our businesses, and basically take over our nation, then the least you can do is LEARN TO SPEAK ENGLISH!!!!!!!! Either you learn OUR language, or you can go the heck home! We've got enough of our OWN people to worry about, without you coming here and adding to the problems. If your own country is SO bad, then why don't you do something about it, instead of coming and crying to the US to help out? GET OVER IT and fix it yourselves! Leave us out of it! And to our government... keep your noses out of everybody else's business so that we can fix our own problems! |
On this page, I've written about some controversial topics, and yes I feel quite strongly about much of it. No, I am not saying I am right, or that this is how it absolutely should be, I'm just stating my opinion on the matter. It's alright if you disagree with me, and I know that many people do. It's ok because we have the RIGHT to feel that way, and we have the RIGHT to voice our opinions, and as long as it doesn't slander anyone, or hurt anyone, then we are perfectly fine in doing so. I honor, respect, and love the country I live in, and if, at any time, Uncle Sam should call me up, then I will GLADLY say "Yes sir!" and do what is asked of me. I strongly suggest that you never, NEVER, put down, or dissrespect either this country, or our armed forces which protect it when you are around me, because I will speak my mind on the matter, and I will speak it quite strongly and colorfully. I understand that not everyone feels the same that I do about our men and women in the military, but I would appreciate it if you kept those opinions to yourself when around me. I will argue until I'm blue in the face, in favor of our military, so it would be fruitless to try and change my mind. Yes, I do have a "favorite" branch of the military, the Marines, but I thank all of our troops for every day they serve this coutnry. My brother-in-law was a Marine, and his best friend was in the Army. I have quite a few friends that I went to school with who have joined the service, and though I miss them, I am more proud of them than they'll ever know. My boyfriend's dad is in the Army, and he is joining after he finishes college. I myself am debating joining the military after college, after I get my degree. I'm not sure yet, and that's still a long way off, so I'm going to put the idea on the backburner for now. Anyways, on this page, I've got a few rants and raves, and a few praises, a candle lit in memory of all those who have given their lives for our country willingly, and for those who were just caught in the crossfire. We miss you, we love you, and know that you're watching over us as we go through each day. With love and blessings, we thank you.
If you are still reading, then I would like you to take a moment, to stop and think of all the lives that we have lost since the beginning of this great nation. From the American Revolution, up until the last bombing over in Iraq or Afghanistan. Think of those who gave their lives willingly, hoping that they might somehow make a difference, and those who were taken from us too soon by the hand of hatred. These days it's almost impossible to NOT know someone who has sacrificed something for this nation, whether it be a limb, a life, or a loved one. Please just take a moment to think of these people, and to remember. For it is with these memories, that we will move on and change the future into a better place for those to come.
I took this picture myself, in NYC, and as I was looking at the rubble and the damage done, I couldn't help but feel so hurt. I was fortunate enough to not have lost anyone in the terrible tragedy that happend on 9-11, but I know that thousands of people DID lose someone, and my heart goes out to those people. I can't imagine what it's like, but I know it's got to be extremely rough. You are always in my prayers.
