Alan & Jeannie's Adventures in Japan...................AnJ11

This is our kitchen.  It has most of the modern conveniences, a microwave/convection oven, a gas cooktop and oven (although my cookie sheets barely fit), and a washer and drier.  Many of the locals use their balconies to dry their clothes (even on very cold days).  I'll have to take a picture of that for you to really appreciate it.  I do miss the garbage disposal though.......
