Julia London
Julia London lives in Austin, Texas, with her main squeeze (Louie) and two fat dogs (Hugo and Maude). But since it gets really, really hot in Austin, sometimes they go elsewhere...like New Mexico.
Julia spends her days creating lush worlds in her head. Currently, she is creating a world that will be told to you in a trilogy, set in modern day Texas (this is very cleverly done on her part, because without having to expend a lot of money on travel and research, she can simply draw on her many eccentric and extremely dysfunctional friends and family. And the good news is there is enough material there for several series). The trilogy is about three sisters. She happens to have two older sisters. But that is just a coincidence. Really. And the fact that the youngest sister of this trilogy is the coolest of the three is likewise a big coinkydink.
The other world she makes up is set in regency England, for which she says she is vastly qualified to do because she makes up worlds there all the time. And of course, since it is a historical, she must travel frequently to Europe to conduct ground-breaking research. Fortunately, she has a sister who is her research assistant (because she said she was, then she re-named herself Lucy, although Julia is still really unclear about why she must be re-named Lucy to do her research, but what the hell), which means Julia can spend all her time sightseeing and shopping and drinking the local liquor.
