| .And this from a fellow graduate " ....was reading a lil' history you had up, and the surfing and cruising Atlantic, Bellflower and Tweedy, sure brought back some fond memories. Don't forget Lymans and how you had to "Cruise" in to be cool hehe. And of course who could forget Harvey's Broiler. OH! and don't forget about the Fountain across from the Town Theater there in Bixy Knolls. ALWAYS someone would end up putting detergent in it so it bubbled, HAHAHA. The Lakewood, Long Beach and Paramount Drive Ins...Lions Drag strip. I look back now and wow, we sure busy!! ...I saw alot of friends in that list of students and all the names I do remember. ..sadness when I saw my friend, Donna Broeker listed. ..... It was around this time back in 1967, when an accident on Bellfower Blvd took her life. ....and then I hope I'll be seeing the list which will be containing our freinds whom we lost to the Viet Nam War, Jim Harden as one. I'll be checking back often. Patricia collins |

| Remember some of the clothes we wore back then..... The guys like to wear plaid shirts and khaki pants to school. They were not allowed to wear the shirts out, so all were neatly tucked into a nice leather belt. To finish the ensemble, wing tips were the shoes of choice. The girls preferred very short tweed skirts, unless we thought Mrs. Cook might be checking us that day by making us kneel on the pavement. If our skirts did not touch the ground, we were sent home to change. To match our skirt, we had to have a beautiful angora sweater by Darlene. By the way, those sweaters were not cheap. Even back then, we paid about $40.00 for one of the sought after Darlene sweaters. |

| Do you remember hanging out at the A & W on Artesia and Walnut? It was a small tiny little drive in restaurant but car after car load of guys and girls would try to "cruise" through it. After parking, the waitresses would come out to your car and take your order. Then, on a brown tray they brought your greasy fries and those delicious burgers and attached it with a sort of arm to your window. We could sit there and watch the people drive through or talk to your neighbors or just eat! Those were the days! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
