Urks

Physical Description:  Urks are the degenerate cousins of Orcs.  Unlike their cousins, Urks are squat creatures, standing no more than four and half feet tall and generally lean forward in a simian manner.  Urks have the same broad underbite and upward-jutting teeth of their orcish cousins and are noted as being incredibly strong, doughty fighters.  Nonetheless, Urks are not noted for their intelligence, although they have developed steel-manufacture.

Urkish Society:  Urkish Society remains mired in the Middle Ages, despite the rapid innovations that have taken place around them.  The absolute aristocracy that runs their lands is noted as being dedicated to feudalism and incapable of change.  Despite their fearsome presence, it has become increasingly clear that Urkish society must quickly innovate or face conquest by their powerful neighbors.
