Trolls

Physical Description:  Trolls are amongst the largest and physically most powerful creatures in Ede Rame.  Trolls stand about seven-and-a-half to eight feet tall and have a lanky appearance due to their long arms and high metabolism which dissuades the accumulation of body fat.  Trolls are incredibly and deceptively strong and are nearly tireless.  Trolls are covered in a mottled skin which runs from a deep forest green to a light green-yellow and have a shock of hair whose color varies widely from stark white to bright orange.  Hair care is considered paramount in Trollish culture and is most often worn in a long pony-tail amongst both genders.

Troll Society:  Troll society was organized into clans, which still have some lingering effects in Trollish society.  These clans have generally melded into regional/ethnic differences, which are manifested in a variety of dialects across Khulov as well as varying skin tones.  These dialects can vary widely from region to region and can occasionally cause difficulty in administering the vast empire of the Czar.  Trolls are a particularly religious people and take treat their parish priests with an extraordinary amount of respect and church attendance rates in Khulov are amongst the highest in Ede Rame.

Trollish society is highly autocratic, with society’s political power and moral authority being rested in the hands of the Czar, who has nearly unlimited power within Khulov.  The Duma is composed, with few exceptions, of Khulovite nobility appointed by the Czar himself, guaranteeing that there would be no great political dilution of the power of the executive in Khulov.
