Ents

Physical Description:  Ents are mysterious woodland creatures whose physical power is unchallenged in Ede Rame.  Ents appear as large, living, sentient trees who have been known to travel great distances.  Users of powerful magicks as well, Ents are noted for their closeness with nature and Ents can apparently commune with any wild creatures. 

Ent Society:  Ents have historically been willing to help those who support the defense of nature, however as the weight of industrialization has pressed down upon Ede Rame, Ents have increasingly withdrawn from most societies.  Ents have carved themselves a niche in the world, forming The Great Preserve and keeping foreigners out.  However, some sentient being have traveled to The Great Preserve and made it their home, although how and why is unknown.  Entish society is generally not understood by outsiders, although they appear to have created an Entish oligarchy that rules over the forest lands of The Great Preserve.
