Deeru

Physical Description: Deeru are six-foot tall humanoids who are covered in a thick, short brown fur.  Some rare Deeru are covered in white fur.  Deeru are strong and agile and their archery skills surpass that of even the elves.  Deeru males have large, multi-point horns and the heads of common deer.  Nonetheless, Deeru are extremely intelligent and are noted for their paradoxical peaceful nature and battle prowess. 

Deeru Society:  Deeru society is organized into a tribes that prowl the forests of Ede Pono.  Deeru are semi-nomadic and organized around a powerful leader, be it a Great Warrior, a shaman, or a respected elder.  The Deeru are noted as capable trappers and hunters and they have in recent years begun to acquire gunpowder weapons from their neighbors in New Andlan as trade, making them more deadly than ever.
