Borrowing the words of the enlightened composer Moby-
"everything is wrong"

Of course this is drastic, and i believe it is only true on the surface. Yet we are faced with massive social problems: wholesale environmental destruction, rampant crime, widespread poverty, war and the ever present danger of nuclear destruction.

Accept this as FACT: none of these can ever be solved under are present social sructure.

Beneath these vast social cancers lie disrespect, bigotry, and greed, which are both cause and effect of the current system.

Under any system motivated as such, these problems are all but inaddressable, furtermore each societal illness is part of the dynamics of the system. Therefore removing them is probably impossible; if somehow it were achieved another equal aspect would emerge. Even the most noble attempts merely creates new legislation, usually furthering the problems. Likewise, nothing can be changed through the present system. Through the standard procedures of control, violence, or through this current system, only more of the same can be expected.

Instead we can concentrate on reaching toward our higher selves. We must therfore remain full of love, even in the face of hate- and we must realize this hate, along with greed, is a projection of a low self worth. We must learn and teach, for each of us is so unique as to be infinitly valuable to the universe. Generosity must NOT be charity- giving must become a way of life.

i hope the poetic negativity here is balanced by my hope and enthusiasm for the future and our approaching path. For when the time comes (as soon as we decide it will be) we must be ready to completely evolve from our current societal structures. Of course it will not be easy, but i believe accepting the alternative to be much more difficult...
