Having lost her parents at a young age in an airplane crash, she has lived alone for a long time and is very independant. After getting kicked out of her old school for fighting, she is transferred to Usagi's. She saves her and Naru from bullies and humiliates them at sports. Surprisingly, Usagi is not afraid of her, and the two become friends. The bullies get revenge by making her think a boy is interested in her, only leave her waiting in the rain with two homemade lunches she worked hard on, for someone who is not going to show up. Her sorrow turns to anger once the boys show up to tease her, She yells at them for taking advantage of a girl's feelings, which is unforgivable. A youma shows up, and she learns she is Sailor Jupiter and uses her new powers to defeat it. When Usagi becomes infatuated with Mamoru and Tuxedo Mask, she tries to steer her away but finds herself rooting for them to get together. But when she learns Mamoru and Tuxedo Mask are the same person, he lies about his feelings for Sailor Moon to her, thus making her infuriated with him, believing he was just using her. Motoki who works at the karoke place develops a crush on her, and she secretly likes him back. When she finally awakens her Sailor powers however, she realizes it is her destiny to always be alone and fulfill her mission from her past life. Motoki eventually learns of her secret identity and decides he will wait for her. When she learns of Minako's refusal to try and cure her illness to fulfill her mission, she envies her courage and dedication and attempts to sacrifice her own life to defeat a powerful monster. Though she does not die, she ends up in the hospital, seriously injured. Her foolish actions make Minako realize the foolishness of her own. When Princess Serenity tries to destroy the Earth, she fights and falls at her hands. She comes back when the planet is restored by Usagi and Mamoru, but remembers nothing of them or her Scout life until they return and are reunited. In the Special Act, she is the only one still living close to Usagi. As a flower artist/arranger, she is hired by Usagi for the wedding. She is dating Motoki apparently, and they might possibly be working together too. She fights beside her friends once more to restore the world to peace. At Usagi's wedding, Motoki catches the bouquet and asks her to marry him. She says yes.
