Favorite Movies:
Circle of Friends(1995)(Love Story)This one is my absolute, all time favorites.  It's based on the book by Irish author, Maeve Binchy.  The book is really long, somewhere around 585 pages.  The book isn't nearly as good as the movie.  It stars Minnie Driver as Benny and Chris O'Donnell as the charming rugby player, Jack.  The movie takes place in Dublin, Ireland in 1957 at a small university.  It follows 3 childhood friends, Benny(Minnie Driver), Nan, and Eve.  Benny is daddy's little girl, so her parents were a bit reluctant to allow her to even go away to the University.  But, she does and the story unravels for this quiet, sophisticated lady.  Love finds it's way to Benny.  It's a must see.

Benny: After she and Jack kiss for the first time, "Oh, I do think we have a problem here."

Lights, camera, actions....wait wait...back up, that's what you say when you make movies!  Ok, let's try that again, lights dimmed, popcorn made, video in the VCR......ready!  Enjoy the show, well not technically at this very moment, but enjoy my little description thingys below.  These are some of my favorite movies.
When Harry Met Sally(1989): (love story)This is a cute love story, what can I say....I'm a sucker for love stories.  It stars Billy Crystal as Harry and Meg Ryan as Sally.  The question this movie asks is, can a friendship between a man and a women be the same after sex?   Harry and Sally met after college on a 14 hour car ride to New York.  Each of them go their separate ways until they bump into each other in an airport and then again in a bookstore.  The two have a strange chemistry which is so fun to watch.  Over their 12 year relationship, they grow to love one another.  I don't want to give away the movie, but if you love romance, this one is for you.  Check it out. Oh, and the soundtrack is filled with romantic classics from such composers as Harry Connick Jr.

Harry: "No man and woman can be friends because he always finds her attractive"

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation(1989): (comedy) If you haven't seen this classic, YOU MUST!  It doesn't matter if it's the 4th of July, you need to see this.  It will have you laughing so hard, you'll cry.  Well...maybe that's just me, I like to laugh.  The movie all about the Griswold Family on their Christmas vacation.  The family invites many relatives young and old, liked and disliked to celebrate Christmas.  You get to see lots of funny stuff like a cat getting shocked with the christmas lights, and Clark(Chevy Chase) getting stuck in the attic while the family is out shopping all day.  My point is and always will be, if you haven't seen this, you have to :)

Clark Griswold: "Merry Christmas.  Merry Christmas.  Merry Christmas.  Merry Christmas.  Kiss my ass.  Kiss his ass.  Kiss your ass.  Happy Chanukah!"

My Best Friend's Wedding(1997): (Romantic comedy) Jullianne(Julia Roberts) and Michael(Dermont Mulroney) are best of friends.  They met way back in the day, years ago at Brown University.  The two had made a pack that if each had not married by age 28, they would marry each other. Michael has always loved and cared for Jules(as he calls her), but she always pushed him away.  The two each live their own separate lives, until unexpectedly, Jullianne recieves a phone call from Michael days before his 28th birthday  He informs her that he's getting married to a woman named Kimmy, a college student.  Upon hearing this news, Jullianne realizes what has always been there, that she too loves Michael.  In a desperate attempt to get Michael back, she does many crazy off the wall things.  It's definately funny, but in the end, one can't help but wonder why it turned out the way it did.

Jules to Kimmy: "YOU cannot be jello.  Creme brulee can NEVER be jello!"
Jules: "I'm a busy girl.  I have four days to break up a wedding, steal the brides fella and I haven't one clue how to do it!"

Sorry, Wrong Number(1948): (Thriller) Up for an oldie but goodie?  Originally a radio drama, this movie stars Barbara Stanwyck as Leona.  Leona is a wealthy, hypochondriac woman that when the phone lines cross, she overhears a telephone conversation between two men that are plotting a murder.  Her husband Henry is off for most of the movie, so a majority of Leona's time is spent in her bedroom alone...scared.  Check this one out.

Leona:   "When you knew I was going to be alone.  I can't be alone tonight.  Well, if I'm alone one more second--I'll go mad.  I don't care what he says--or what the expense is--I'm a sick woman.  I'm entitled--to a little consideration."
