There is an ancient prophecy, in an ancient tome, hidden in a lighthouse whose location was forgotten millenia ago...
Recently, though, small parts of it have been revealed by the stars themselves...
ANALYZING
SIGNAL DECODED: LONG AGO, THERE WERE HEROES BEYOND THE STRENGTH OF A THOUSAND MORTAL MEN. THEY HAILED FROM Galia, and protected it from the ultimate shadow, The Cloud, and his minions. The Cloud chose a victim planet that was less able to defend itself- Earth. The Heroes set off for the planet- they will arrive in a few eons.
Hmm...
MFRA 1: The Dawn of Chickie
*Little girl wakes up and goes downstairs*
Little Girl: Good morning, dad.
Basilisk (The dad): Oh, hey. Kraken's acting up again.
Little Girl (Cherub): RIght. I'll give him his medicine.
*Goes outside with pills*
Little Girl: Grampa! Take your pills!
Kraken: Didn't I tell you? Those things are just sugar pills.
...They're leftover placeboes. Why, you could take one!
Cherub: Mom checked with the governemnt. They're not placeboes.
Kraken: Yes. The "government".
Cherub: Say, what program is that?
Kraken: A big one. It's checking the stars for data on the Lighthouse Prophecy.
ANALYZING... NO OTHER MESSAGES.
Cherub: The-lighthouse prophecy?
Kraken: Hrrmrrm?? WTCHCHGBPHLL... GUH! GAH!! KIDDS!! THEESE!! DAYYYYYYYS!!!
You DON'T know about the Lighthouse Propehcy?
Cherub: Nno.
Kraken: BLGIH!! KIDS THES DAYS!

*Ahem*. Overlooking your ignorance, here's the important part:
A child hero is on his way. You, Cherub, will raise him to greatness.
Cherub: How-soon is he coming?

BOOM!
Cherub: *Enters chicken coop* It's... It's a...
An egg!
The child hero is a chicken!
Ohh! What's the name?
Kraken: He doesn't have one yet. You can name him!
Cherub: I'll call him Chickie!
*Fly*
Uh-oh.
*HATCH!*
Chickie: Did someone say Chickie? That means... that Chickie's name... is Chickie!
Chickie's falling!

Chickie made a safe landing!
Cherub: What a cute little guy!
Chickie: Mom!
Kraken: It's just as the prophecy said... "On thier way, the heroes will forget who they are, and lose their mightly armor."
"Their power will transform into crystals, which will be spread across the earth. When the heroes arrive, they will be young again."
I need a sugar pill.
A WEEK LATER...
Kraken: Chickie... it is time. The Cloud is on its way. Before it arrives... you must learn of combat.
*Cherub and Chickie rush outside to battle*
Cherub: Alright, Chickie... try fighting my robot!
*Chickie breaks it*
Cherub: Hammmertime!
BREAK!
Laserman!
BREAK!
Laserflyer!
Crazy Cheetah!
Superpunch!
GO!
*Chickie creates a strange field of energy*
BOOM!
Chickie: What was that?
Cherub: I don't know...
Kraken: Congratulations, Chickie. You have realized your ability to use magic.
Chickie: Chickie can use magic?
Kraken: Yes.
Chickie: Hmm...
Teacup!
Anteater!
Yep! Chickie's magic!
Kraken: Yes you are. Let's call it a day.

MFRA 2: Cherub's Deal
*Ring!*
Cherub: Hello?
???: Hello. I am The Masked One. Is this Cherub Manticore?
Cherub: Yes...
The Masked One:...you are to come to the address carved on your driveway.
*click*
*Music from Signs*
*There is writing, some squiggles, and a happy face on the driveway*
Later...
*Ding dong*
The Masked One: *Opens the door*
Cherub: Um...
nice guillotine.
*There is a painting of a signs that reads "Death" on the wall!*
Cherub: Nice painting.
The Masked One: That's the way it is, isn't it?
Death is always right over THERE- *points*- staring you in the face...
Cherub: I see.
A LABELED STATUE OF THE GRIM REAPER AKA DEATH IS RIGHT THERE!
Cherub: It's... reflective.
The Masked One: No, it isn't. That's you in his eyes. He's looking at you.
Cherub: So... what exactly are you?
THe Masked One: I am The Masked One, a servant of The Cloud who long ago turned against his master.
-And you are the adoptive mother of the first hero, who opposes my new enemy, The Cloud. You are also a technological genius, and the government has need of you.
Cherub: The- government?
The Masked One: Yes. They want you to join them against The Cloud.
Cherub: Hmm...
Tell you what- give me a month, and I'll build them a Grade-A robot for only $100!
(Note: The robot is called The Anticloud. It looks completely different in almost every comic square, since I can't stand drawing complicated things over and over again. The effect is okay, as long as you keep in mind that it's the same robot every time.)

MFRA 3: A Crystal Clear Goal
*Chickie is flying along, and suddenly, a crystal falls past him*
Chickie: Huh?
That came from Chickie a little before he became an egg... he thinks.
Chickie doesn't rebember much.
*There is a quasi-holographic Rooster face inside the crystal*
*It fuses with Chickie*
Chickie: Huh?
*Transform!*
Chickie (Rooster): Loot at me!
Cherub: "Me"?
Oh, Chickie, you overcame your speech impediment!
Chickie (Rooster): Only as long as I have this on. *Points to his... um, thing that roosters have sticking out of their heads, and it's red. You know what I mean? I think they're called gobbles or something*
Chickie: *De-transforms*
Watch this!
*Re-transforms*
Ta-da!
Kraken: I see you have found a crystal.
The Prophecy said that bit by bit, the crystals could be returned to the heroes, and they would come closer to their original forms.
Someday, Chickie will become an Eagle, but he can always change back.
You learned all this just in time. Cherub, you'd better go inside.
Chickie (Rooster): *Teleports Kraken to 'da house* You'd better go inside, too.
Cherub: What's going on?
Kraken: The Cloud's first servant is coming.
*An enormous flying rock monster lands*
Chickie (Rooster): Thunder!
Thunder!
Wind!
*The rock monster's wings are damaged, and he is blown off a cliff. Chickie (Rooster) watches him fall*
*CRASH!*
*He flies back up, very different*
Monster: Nice job breaking my armor!
I couldn't get it off myself, but now I'm free!
*Attacks Chickie (Rooster) anyway, using tentacles*
*SNAP!*
*Chickie (Rooster) dodges*
*Using focused magic energy, he counters and cuts off all four of the monster's tentacles, then zaps his regrown wings*
*The monster falls to the ground and uses a sonic blast, but Chickie (Rooster) dodges, and counters with his talon, smushing the monster*
*He returns to the house*
Chickie (Rooster): It's done.

MFRA 4: Basilisk's Lucky Turn
Basilisk: Hmm...
*Paper* Income: $1,000 Outcome: $1,099
Basilisk: Cherub, I don't know how to say this, but we're broke.
Cherub: Sounds like you do know how to say it.
*She walks outside, where her giant robot is. In this form, it has a giant boot on its only leg, which is attached to
several random giant devices*
Cherub: Bye, AntiCloud!
You do remember how to get to the White House, right?
AntiCloud: Yes. *Flies away*
Weeks later...
Cherub: My piggy bank isn't meant to hold checks... just coins.
Basilisk: You have a check?!
Cherub: Yeah. I only charged $100 for my robot, but the government made a mistake and sent me $100,000.
*Basilisk's eyes droop out of their sockets in a comical fashion*
Cherub: Dad, calm down. Your brain is showing.
And so, Cherub's youthful, innocent lack of money sense made it easy for Basilisk to trick her out of 80% of her income.
*Later*
Baskilisk: (To Cherub's Mom (Dryad Manticore, age 35)) I know just how to spend that 80 grand.
We slowly let our bills and grocery expenses drain it away.
Then we make Cherub build another robot!
Dryad: What if we used it to improve the farm so we could sustain ourselves like adults?
Basilisk: Well, sure, that's a good plan, but your forgot about the robot!
Dryad: Okay, what if we paid Cherub to build an all-purpose farming robot?
Basilisk: Pay her with what? I already told her I spent $80,000 on this jump rope.
Dryad: That's a shoelace.
Basilisk: Are you telling me I just spent 80 grand on a shoelace?
*Now Dryad's eyes leak out!*
Basilisk: Honey, your brain is showing.

MFRA 5: Signature Moves
*Chickie is standing outside some sort of small barn, when a monster comes along. He transforms into a Rooster and gets punched and almost kicked by the monster, but dodges as he transforms back into Chickie*
Chickie:
Punch! *Punches*
Kick! *Kicks*
Body Slam! *Body Slams*
Magic Blast! *Magic Blasts*
*The monster dodges every attack, but is surrounded by 'ghosts' of the attacks*
Chickie: West Winds, East Winds, North Winds, South Winds! UNITE! *Raises wings* False Tornado!
* A giant tornado appears and somehow eats the monster*
Chickie: Huh?
*A crystal appears where the monster was as the tornado and ghost attacks slowly dissipate*
Chickie: Another crystal! *Absorbs it and transforms into a pidgeon*
Chickie (Pidgeon): Whoah- I'm tired. Just staying in this form takes all my strength- Ahh! *Un-transforms*
Chickie: Chickie has learned that he can only be a pidgeon fo ten seconds!

MFRA 6: Kraken's Deal
*Kraken is standing by the telephone*
Cherub: You don't have to wait. The government already called.
This time, they just played Tic-Tac-Toe on our driveway.
*Music from "The Shining" plays, and there is indeed a Tic-Tac-Toe game on the driveway*

The Masked One: Hello.
*Cherub hides behind Kraken*
Kraken: That mask- it's to keep you out of The Cloud's control, isn't it?
The Masked One: That is correct.
With your knowledge and Cherub's intelligence, the government would have a perfect brain. (Author's Note: Why didn't that ever happen? I'll just say the government seemed too suspicious.)
Masked One: For now, we only one request- find the first technology center of the Cloud's army.
Kraken: I would be glad to. *Holds up an orb* This is a metal-seeing crystal ball. It should suffice for the task.
*A map of Amero, with two dots on it, appears inside the crystal ball*
Kraken: Those are the two main metal- containing areas in Amero. The northeast one is your target.
The Masked One: Excellent.

MFRA 7: To Toode
Light in the Sky: Chickie...
Chickie: Huh?
Light in the Sky: You must find... the next hero... at Toode...
Chickie: But how does Chickie get there?
Light in the Sky: Follow... Me...
*Chickie flies after the light, crossing Amero into Toode*
(Meanwhile...)
Cherub: A note from Chickie!
*Reads note*
Aww... my little guy's grown up and gone to Toode!
(Meanwhile (Again)...)
Chickie: What's that place?
(There is a house with a strange man named Jim Sanders standing outside)
Jim Sanders: Hey, little talking chicken! That's the cat lady's house. *Whispers* She's a little crazy.
(A meteor-type thing crashes through the roof)
Cat Lady: DAHH HUH HUH! A Kitty!
Kitty: Hi, lady!
Chickie: That Kitty can talk? So there are more like Chickie!
(Soon...)
Chickie: ...So Kitty's name is Kitty?
Kitty: What's wrong with you? Do you have a peech impediment or something?
(After some explaining...)
Kitty: So we have to find some magic crystals? I think I already have one- *Transforms into a Cat*
Kitty (Cat): I picked it up in the cat lady's house. *Untransforms*
Kitty: Anyway, let's go to your house.
