Care of Magical Creatures

I still haven't meet that many of you, but those of you I have meet, all seemed quite interested in learning more about the Metal Snakes. You will each be given a baby snake and you are to raise them. Metal Snakes bond with their owners for life. However not much is known about the Metal Snakes, not more than what I have studied, so you will have to write quite many essays. It will be hard work, but rewarding! It's a joy to see those little fellas grow!

This homework assignment is going to be dealing with astrology. This is going to be a very basic class this time. I would like you to write a short paper on your astrological sign and how you feel the characteristic of that sign is similar to you. For example, Sagittarius is outgoing. If you are a Sag, re you outgoing or does that sign not match you? Also, for the classroom I would like you all to bring in a horoscope to read aloud. This assignment will be worth 10 points and an extra 5 points if you bring in your horoscope.

Herbology

See "New Lesson" in the classroom for your assignment or read below about the Pructose Plant

The Pructose Plant is very well known for it's massive stength. Small as they may be, their strength is impeccable." *she walks over to the shed and pulls out a large tray full of small, potted, red pettled, purple thorned flowers. Growing in the center of the red flower is a small green vine with red thorns.* "They can kill a full grown hippogriff within seconds. How they kill, you might ask, is the vine growing in the center of the flower grows to an enormous length. It raps the vine around it's victim, suffocates it to death while stabbing it with it's poisonous thorns. The thorns on the stem of the flower are mainly just for show." *points her wand at a candle hovering over her desk* "Pillowunctious!" she mutters *the candle transfigures into a large white pillow.* "Watch as I use this pillow as a volunteer." *throws the pillow at the tray full of plants. All at once, the vines from all of the flowers shot into the air and wrapped tightly around the pillow. Within five seconds the pillow was stained purple with poison. She then whips out her wand again, points it at the tray of Pructose plants* "Freeza Rilioso!" *a stream of white sparks hit the flowers. They all recoil and freeze.* "What we are going to be doing today, is we are going to practice recoiling the the plants. The spell is, 'Freeza Rilioso'. I will give each of you a pillow and a Pructose plant. Spread out and then throw your pillow at the plant. It will instantly go after the pillow. As soon as you the poison sink into the pillow, then PLEASE cast the spell. IF done correctly it will recoil... but if it still doesn't recoil then please shout my name and I will come to the rescue. But if it does go correctly than please bring the pillow to me and I will drain it out, the juice is used in many sleeping potions." *waves her wand and a Pructose plant flies over each desk. She points her wand at the chalkboard* "Pillowunctious!" *the chalkboard transfigures into a large pile of pillows.* "When ready to begin, please come and get a pillow. And there is also no homework for this lesson!"
