Campus Bios: Teachers & Staff
Chancellor Shaydon Jaylor Chancellor of MU, Head of Braahmin House Gender: Female Shaydon is part cat but tries not to turn into one often. We don't know her true age because she hides it so well (plus she has 9 lives). But she looks to be about in her mid-50's. She is tall, sleek and impeccably groomed. She has a keen sense of eyesite, especially in the dark. Her eyes often change shape with her moods, going from human to cat eyes. Her hair is long, blond with a streak of red coming from her left temple. She usually wears her hair in a ponytail or bun. Shaydon is a tough cookie. You can't pull the wool over her eyes and had better not try or she will deliver and nasty nip. Her instincts are strong and she has a brilliant self-defense mechanism. The world around her is divided into two sorts of people - those who don't know quite what to make of her and those who have been fortunate enough to meet the real Shaydon Jaylor. The real Shaydon can be soft, caring, loving and giving and should get along well with her students as long as they don't take advantage of her easy nature, should they get to know it. She is also incredibly strict but will always be fair. Because of such a demanding position he has decided to semi-retire and spend the remainder of his working years working at MU, although his ties to the Department of Ministry are still quite strong. He is very hard nosed when it comes to rules, being lenient on occasion. He takes each case on an individual basis. It is rumored that Carson and the VC had a romantic history together...but it is just a rumor. Carson has many secrets about himself...some which seem to get revealed as time goes by. [Back to Top] Samantha Leafy Teachers Assistant, Herbology Gender: Female Samantha is a pretty nice person, but gets annoyed with students who ask questions just to annoy her, though she encourages her students to always ask reasonable questions, otherwise they will never learn. She is social, and she likes to be the center of things, though she is not concieted. Sometimes she has a tendency to talk too much after she gets to know some one really well. I excelled in the subject of herbology at my previuos schools including Beauxbatons and I have a MH (master of herbology) from college. I have traveled to many rain forests to see how the plant life there compares to tyical plant life and magical plants. I wrote my thesis on that subject of comparisons. I think that I am well educated enough for the position and am enthusiastic on teaching it. Everything about him contains fear or power. Specializes in Charms, and Potions. Is known to be a strict teacher and a harsh person to talk to unless you get to know hime first.I am specialized in Charms and know the most advanced ways to charm people. [Back to Top]Nekhtiseka-Khanu Professor, Defense Against the Dark Arts; Grymbals Supervisor Gender: Male Tall and slender this Dark Elf is an astonishing sight. Long white hair is always tied back, so that ebony pointy ears are always free. He is almost always seen wearing a black robe and a black cloak, each covered in silver runes, that no wizard or witch has recognized yet. Around his neck he carries a red necklace (or 'collar' because of it's thick chain) with a emerald gem. His long slender fingers are free from any jewelry, but also filled with the silver tattooed runes. Nekhtiseka-Khanu has often be referred to as 'the-most-hated-teacher' which is not wrong. He is hard and stern, but the best. You can hardly come across a person with Nekhtis' knowledge in Defense Against the Dark Arts. He is a very well known name, in the world of magic. Having spend much of his life traveling all around the world, this Dark Elf has encounteret many Dark creatures and Wizards. This has given him an enormous knowledge and he is known to be the best there is. He knows every creature, every spell and it is said, that he has never been hurt on one of his long, wild and dangerous journeys. [Back to Top]Miko Amani Professor, History of Magic Gender: Female Miko has natural caring nature that can sometime be a tad shy but when she feels intimidated she can be assertive and show that person she is not as weak as she seems. She is very patient with most things and usually thinks things through but can sometimes be rash. She is always willing to share her knowledge and helps out wherever needed. Miko, having a big family history, has many blood types in her. She has a bit a Fairy, Nymph and others. Because of the diversity in her family she grew up learning all different types of magic and their history. She lived a life of constant traveling around, never staying in one place for very often, always having a great interest in Magic's History she left her family to study to become a teacher. Her cat that usually travels on her shoulder, who is a calico/tabby mix is named Lilith, which means spirit of the night. I believe I am qualified for this position because I have a great interest in the ancient's of History. When I was little I spent most of my time reading about the History of magic, and my family has a long line of magic users from all different races as well so I have learned a lot and want others to know what I do. I love to teach and would hand in my homework assignments to the head of MU on time. [Back to Top]Grassbeard Gardner Gender: Male Grassbeard is an old, bearded man. His beard is grass-green and so is his hair. He would be around one meter and fifty-five centimeters (5'1") if he did not constantly walk around with his shoulders hunched. He wears brown and green robes and a brown apron with pockets for a wide varity of tools. His skin is tanned by the sun and his hands are callused by many years of working the soil. He appears to be a kind old man, walking around and tending to the plants he loves. He is very distreet and pretty senile too. He cares more about the plants he tends to than the people who surround him though. He dislikes anyone who dislikes nature. The only thing which can anger him is people deliberately destroying plants for fun. He also has the very (to others) annoying habit of talking to himself. Grassbeard lives in the enchanted forest, some twenty minutes from the MU. If you know the way that is. When you reach his home all you will see is a wall of brambles, bushes, trees and flowers, reaching a heigth of eight meters (26 feet). When you manage to find the gate you will be entering one of the most splendid gardens within the land. Here, all sorts of exotic flowers and plants grow, as well as the more common ones. Here visitors will see plants shaped in the most peculiar ways. Most people who have visited him tells of the most enchanting place they have ever been. Most persons find themselves positively enthralled with the beauty of that garden. And all over the place birds of all kinds are fluttering around, and if you are lucky you might even catch a glimpse of Flametear, the Phoenix said to live there. Grassbeard is the most talented plant magician in the world. His powers of plant magic rivals even that of gods. He can, without the use of a wand, shape and otherwise affect plants in any ways he likes. He can "speak" with plants and knows almost everything there is to know about them, from tending a rose to tending to an ill Whomping Willow. On the other hand he is almost unable to complete even the simplest of spells. If he is lucky he can cast a light spell without fumbling it. With girls, he's a bit shy but sarcastic. And he's up to meeting people. Jason tends to many magical plants and fungi. He has forever. Her face is rather flat, her nose being no more than two slits just like her ears. She has faintly green, scaly skin, sharp teeth, a forked tongue, long slim fingers ending in small claws and long flowing black hair, going all the way down too her kneecaps. She wears a silver hair pin which keeps her hair away from her face and ears, a silver necklace shaped as a snake and a silver bracelet on her left wrist, also shaped as a snake. Her clothing is mostly exotic dresses, always decorated with snake symbols. She never wears any foot gear, because of the claws on her toes. Bio: It is no secret that the Yuan-Ti is a violent and deadly people always seeking war in the magic world. But the specie is close to extinction and it has been many decades since this snake people has made any hostile moves. Still it came as a big surprise when a young female Yuan-Ti asked to join Hogwarts. She was accepted and turned out to be a very kind hearted soul. However she soon realized no human was able to remember or speak her name, so she took a human one. She was as good as any other student, but especially good when it came to handling magical creatures. Due to her snake blood (and being a kind of magical creature herself) the young Yuan-Ti found working with magical creatures gave her life a certain spark of joy. After finishing Hogwarts she moved on to Magical University. After that she started studying magical creatures. Everything from the tiny fork-tailed blue mouse, to the gigantic magnificent dragons. She's made quite a reputation of herself. A Yuan-Ti studying magical creatures is not something you seem every day. Now she wishes to share her knowledge, and what better way that to teach a bunch of young knowledge craving students back at your old university? Personality: Anastasia is a kind hearted person. She's slow to anger and very reasonable. She loves her job more than anything and wants her students to be as good as possible. Therefore she expects her students to do their work and will get quite annoyed if this is not done.After all they are out future, and they need to be taught well. Protuding from it is a handle looking much like that of a gun, but when it flaps a long sword in a scabbard is revealed to be the sword of a handle. A strange 'bubble' rests at the hilt of the sword, and when unsheathed it reveals some weird gunlike muzzels along the lower parts of the blade. He wears black breeches and kneehigh boots. Sef�r is haughty young man, cold on the outside, as well as extremely arrogant. He fights nonhumans with all his strength for, in his eyes, evil incarnate. Some have proven to be good enough, but they have done nothing to deminsh his hatred for the rest. He believes himself to be the best, and fears nothing. But some things can affect him, even though nobody knows what. Bio: Nothing is known about Sef�r's past, not even by himself. All that is known is that one day he just strode into London and annihilated six vampires in one attack. Since then he has prowled the world in search of darkness, and now rumors of the magical University have drawn him there... He is powerfull of magic, blade and soul, living to destroy the darkness of nonhumans and evil wizards... And he's good at it. His magic is harnessed to slay these beings, and his level of power makes him a formidable opponent. And he actually, however weird that might seem, cares about the rest of humanity...[Back to Top] Ariadne Isis Professor, Mythology Gender: Female Ariadne is a very friendly person, who enjoys being around others and they enjoy her being around them, too. However, Ariadne insists on seriousness when teaching her students, and expect them to follow. Ariadne is someone who judges others based on personality and she believes in giving second chances. She is fair, yet firm at the same time. If Ariadne sees her students putting in lots of extra effort in their work, Ariadne will definitely give the necessary marks to them. She knows the limit to playing about, and if her students go beyond the limit to playing about with her, she would not hesitate to admonish them. Because of that, people respect her.
Ariadne would take the time and help students in need. She would always provide a listening ear and hugs. She is very patient with her student and if her students need help with work, she will willingly help them. Ariadne prefers to view any hard-type situations optimistically. Her cheerfulness never fails to bring a smile to everyone�s faces. However, Ariadne does have a short temper and sometimes feels irritable. Her tempers usually occur when she and someone disagree over a certain thing and she is wrong or when she cannot get things done her way. Everyone who knows her can expect the �silent treatment� from her, whenever she experiences those tempers. But they all also know that the only way to calm her down is a big bar of chocolate. Colm Gillian Professor, Oneiromancy Gender: Male Colm has moved from school to school teaching this Oneiromancy or DREAM class, and is happy to share his knowledge at MU. Known for his teasing and lighthearted pranks he still is very serious in his approach to life. He is highly regarded in his study of dreams and also takes that very seriously Taryn Stadler Professor, Journalism Gender: Female Physical: Taryn is pretty yet plain. She wears very neutral colored clothes(white, black, beige). She has shoulder-length layered black hair. Her dark blue eyes are lovely but hold many deep/dark secrets. She is slender and quite short, but makes up for her lack of height with her very intelligent mind and her creative writing techniques. Chitara Berlita Professor, Dueling Gender: Female she has cold, evil, grey, icy eyes, she has green, long hair and is always cruel and evil and has persed lips, she usually gives loads of homework every lesson and has the ability to see beyond 3d objects [eg tables (i know you don't allow many witches or wizards to have a special ability or power but i reacon this ability helps her become the kind of character she is, but she doesn't have to have that ability if you don't want her to)]which helps control her class and get rid of unwanted things that are not nessacery for class or is banned in school. She is easy to be bribed into and has no remorse in punishing children, she is usually in a bad mood so if your not looking for trouble you best get out her way.she wants everyone who graduate from this uni is fantastic and pro in dueling and she won't give up until she does, she is a fantastic teacher and will help everyone who needs it. Rubeus is 6 feet and one inch tall.He has blonde hair up in a pony tail ((like Bill Weasley))and has blue eyes.His robes are never perfectly clean because he deals with creatures everyday...mostly dragons.His robes are always a light blue, red, or green.Rubeus is really nice to anyone.He's real easy to be friends with.His motto is "If you don't be nice to creatures, take care of your life." because he'll beat you up so bad it's not even funny if you diss a creature.
