Reflection:
I believe that this lesson is really good in that it combines science with writing. It went really well with writing because right now we are really focusing on trying to get our students to write stories and this was a fun way to maybe try to get them interested in writing stories. Although, some of them are still having trouble and it is the same people. What I would do differently if I were to teach this lesson again would be to do a more extensive review. This might include some type of review game one day to help the students remember everything that we have studied about the life cycle of plant because it has been a long unit. The book writing process itself has served as a review for their unit post-test review, so I believe that this has been a good lesson to do for a review for that. The students seemed really engaged and really interested in this lesson.
