of the chain at Schreiber high school. Cigarette smoking is taking place. First Friday of
the new school year.
Emo Tech: (walking timidly past the chain, makes eye contact with old friends) Oh hey watup guys? (stops to talk to andy and teddy)
Andy: Yo ninja! Watup!? Whats the deal?! Come chill.
Emo Tech: can’t, I gotta go get some food real quick.
Andy: werd, you want a stoge man?? Let’s catch up on old times.
Emo Tech: nah I’m good, where’s sweedish?
Andy: ohh shitt! You didn’t hear!?? Damn dude.
Emo Tech: No, what?? What happened????
Andy: Sweedish has been clipped dawg. Yeah he’s deaded.
Teddy: yeah I’m glad, that grimy bastard was sketchy as hell.
Emo Tech: (shocked and confused)what?! What? What happened????
Andy: man there’s so much shit you missed, after you left. Sweedish got so bad. It’s a long story but basically he was a liar and he stole from all his friends.
Teddy: he was a sketch ball. Don’t chill with him.
Emo Tech: No way! I could never imagine sweedish doing something like that!
Andy: I know we were all shocked. So how about that stoge? (puts out open cigarette pack with cigarette stick out)
Emo Tech: I gotta go man, I’ll talk to u guys later.
Andy: alright later man I’ll call you later to chill this weekend.
(Emo Tech walks down the stairs)
Emo Tech: Damn
what friends do I have to talk to now? I could tell sweedish anything and he’d
always help me out. I should have seen this coming when he started doing yayo right before I left. These guys wont
understand that I don’t wanna live like that anymore.
They wont keep me away from it if im so tempted to
pick up a blunt. They’d love it if I did. Shit, I know that 2 years ago I loved
getting max to smoke after he came out of a 30 day rehab and he didn’t want to
at first.
Scene one:
(Emo Tech walks into
class late and sits down at table where only this new kid Matt is sitting, Emo
Tech tries making friends with this kid to have a friend in class to fool around
with. Matt has heavy Swedish accent.)
Ms. Hall (art teacher): Juan you have to start coming to class on time
Emo tech: yeah yeah, I know my bad.
(Turns to Matt and whispers) I’m so blazzeedd man! Haha
Matt: Yeahhh man, hah, cool.
(Classroom gets loud with
students talking amongst each other)
Emo Tech: yeah do you blaze dude?
Matt: yeah yeah hell yeah(with uncertainty)
Emo Tech: WERD?! We should chill sometime bro. me, you, and my boys Andy and Teddy. Blaze blunts to the head.
Matt: yeah kool that sounds good.
Emo Tech: werd, give you a call this weekend, me and my friends will just be smoking and what not I’m sure you can come chill, just bring a few bucks to throw down for a sack.
Matt: ok no problem, awesome! (Big dorky smile of being accepted by some he thinks is cool, me)
Scene Two: (Teddy,
Andy, Emo Tech at Monfort parking lot Friday night, rolling a blunt)
Teddy: lets go dude, roll that L. we have to Pre-Game quick.
Andy: yeah is that new kid gonna show up or no?
Emo Tech: yeah he said he’d be here now, he just got back from hockey practice so he might be a little late. Just hold on a sec.
Andy: Aight, whatever I’m just gonna roll it.
(Taxi pulls up, Matt comes out wonderingly looks around and hears Emo Tech call him, face lights up and precariously walks over)
Emo Tech: What up man? You came just in time. We were just about to spark this. Oh this is Andy and Teddy.
Matt: hey guys.
Andy: Light it up Teduardo
(Teddy lights blunt, Emo Tech and Andy eagerly rub hands in anticipation of smoking, Matt looks a little nervous.)
Andy: Pass it to the ninja on your left homie. Aight, aight, (takes blunt, and puffs away, matts nervousness increases)
Emo Tech: so Teddy you can get to this girls house? Your gonna be alright to get us there?
Teddy: yeah bro, just chill and blaze.
(Emo tech takes blunt and puffs away, Andy stretches out hand awaiting his turn next. Matt gets pretends to be excited for his turn)
Emo Tech: Nah chill, don’t mess up the Roto. Matt gets it next.
Andy: oh yeah, my
bad
Emo Tech: Alright lets do this homie, here you go (extends hand out to Matt with blunt.)
Matt: (puts on serious face like he’s used to this, accepts blunt and takes drag, coughs like crazy) MAN! Its been a while since I’ve done this. (Takes three more drags swiftly and confidently then passes it to Teddy.)
Teddy: so where you from dude? You have a heavy accent.
Matt:
(Andy seizes blunt, and talks to matt while smoking)
Andy: werd, you drink?
Matt: yeah man
Andy: you ready for this party tonight? Mad brew, mad nedens, and more bud.
Matt: I can’t wait, bring it on!
Emo Tech: (seizes the blunt) yeah werd and don’t worry, Teddy can give you a ride home. He’ll be straight to drive. (To Teddy) just don’t be an idiot. (Passes blunt to Matt.)
Matt: I think I’m pretty blazed man, huh huh, oh well time get blazed-er eh? Haha (Emo, Andy, and Teddy laugh with Matt. Matt takes 2 big hits which is surprising to Emo Tech, Andy and Teddy who honestly doubted his true stoner capabilities.)
Teddy: alright I think this blunt is deaded guys lets get out of here.
(Matt gives Teddy the roach and Teddy flicks it, guys walk over to car)
Emo Tech: Are you blazed Matt?
Matt: (slow zombie-like response) Yeahhh mannn I’m pretty stonnneedd
Emo Tech: werd me too man. (Matt sits in the back seat of Teddy’s soccer mom van; Andy sits in the middle seat in front of Matt and Emo Tech in shotgun. On their way to the party listening to The Way You Like It by Adema* bring in after OHII part**.)
(after about 5 minutes of no talking just listening to music Andy looks behind him to see a spaced out Matt)
Andy: (Breaks out in laughter) who is this
Swedish kid?!?! HAHAH! (Everyone in car
starts laughing uncontrollably)
Emo Tech: that’s Matt bro.
Andy: nah nah, everyone just call him sweedish from now on.
Matt: haha yeah that’s cool.
Teddy: I think this party is over. (Pulling up to the house seeing kids pulling out and leaving.)
Andy: alright whatever, we can just crash at my house.
Emo Tech: Sweedish, can you sleep over at Andy’s tonight? We’re just hit his bong and call it a night
Sweedish: yeah definitely.
Teddy: werd, well next weekend is gonna be better. We’re going to that Lost Prophets show.
Scene three: (the next
Friday, after school, at the chain)
Sweedish: dude! Everyone is calling me sweedish now! It’s crazy! Like people I don’t even know!
Emo tech: hah that’s cool man. Want a stoge?
Sweedish: uh yeah I don’t smoke that much but yeah sure why not?
Emo Tech: nice, so you wanna come to the show tomorrow? A lot of people are going.
Sweedish: yeah werd I’m down.
Emo tech: cool, everyone’s gonna be happy that Sweedish is coming, haha, alright man I’m gonna go home but I’ll call you later to chill.
Scene Four: (Andy’s house
before the show, pre-gaming on Andy’s deck then Sweedish walks around the
corner onto the deck)
Everyone: SWEEDISH!!!
Sweedish: what’s up guys?! Who’s got some brew for me?
Andy: what up?! Here you go. (Hands him a forty) drink quick we have to catch the train in like 20 minutes.
(To everyone’s
surprise sweedish finishes the forty faster than anyone could out of the crew)
Teddy: Damn man! You’re crazy Sweedish!
Sweedish: Is there another one around?
Andy: (Hands him another one) damn take it easy there killer.
Sweedish: yeah I’m just gonna chill with this one.
Emo Tech: we should be headed over to the train station soon.
Teddy: we have like 10 minutes let’s go.
(the guys are walking up the street to the train station smoking cigarettes but sweedish still has the forty)
Emo Tech:
SWEEDISH! Chill put that away! Your gonna get caught
and get us in trouble!
Sweedish: oh yeah my bad (downs the bottle and throws it into a bush.)
(On the train)Andy: This show is going to be awesome. Are you going in the mosh pit Sweedish?
Sweedish: I don’t know man (laughing) I might hurt one of you guys.
Andy: (laughs) hah jus have fun man
