George's Writing

A Kiss in the Rain

I hear the pouring rain
That socks the world outside.
The small drum beats on the roof top
Seem to come alive.
I go back in time
To that dark midnight.
I heard the age old rain then too.
And it was then I kissed you.
Arms wrapped tight, are lips fused,
Rain wetting us head to toe.
Pulling us closer together for warmth.
So as I listen
I feel you holding me,
Kissing me.
I long for your touch and the cold rain on my face.
To know that it will be more than just memory
That you will kiss me once again
In the rain.
