IRVINE, CA CONCERT
October 31, 2002
First of all... WHAT AN AMAZING SHOW!!  Har Mar Superstar was hilarious!  I was so excited for Incubus, I wasn't able to fully appreciate the opener though.  INCUBUS came out in full Halloween garb.  Brandon was wearing a priest outfit with a wooden crucifix tied around his waist.  Later in the show, he unbuttoned the shirt to reveal a turquoise corset... what a lovely contrast.  Mike was dressed as a Swiss Yodeler, hilarious.  Dirk came out with a white sheet over his entire body, and after the first couple of songs, took it off to reveal a red M&M costume.  Jose was dressed as a Hooters girl, with the signature white sleeveless shirt and orange running shorts.  Kilmore was wearing a big pink hat.
The setlist was really incredible.  They performed Incubus faves; (in no particular order)
A Certain Shade of Green, Are You In?, Circles, Make Yourself, Drive, Warning, Privilege, The Warmth, Nice to Know You, Stellar, Wish You Were Here, I Miss You, 11:00AM, Clean, Pardon Me, and Glass.  They played instrumentals of The Simpsons and Halloween theme songs.  The BEST part was the covers they performed... one for each guy.  They played Madonna's Like a Virgin, Lionel Ritchie's Hello, Hall & Oates' Maneater, The Police's Roxanne, and the Grease theme song.  UNBELIEVABLE!! During Grease, a roadie came out and put a black leather jacket on Brandon's shoulders!  This show was one of the best I've seen, of a LOT of shows.  There was SO much energy.  And it was just SO damn exciting!  Incubus was ten times the performers they were last time I saw them... WOW!  I'm still in a daze!
