Mermaids have played a BIG role in alot of cultures including are's!!Pictures of them are have been found all over the world!!Everyone has there own name for them!We have the mermaid,
mami wata is African,zeemermin is the Netherlands!So many names,but they only mean one thing!Theroies that say everyone came from the sea and the ocean at some point in time,what didnt evolve on land evolved in the sea.Just as humans evolved to breathe the air,mermaids and mermen evolved to breathe water!!Thats one therory.
It kinda makes sense the everything came from the ocean,I mean why would thousands of people choose the beach for a vacation.Yes it's a beautiful place to stay,but maybe were drawn there for a reason.Were conected to it in some way!Its a peaceful place for many,to get away from a stressful job.Lots of tourists say its like coming back home!?The ocean has so many secrets including the mermaid!Some tales are that thay can predict the weather and can even bring on storms! They might even lure sailors with there singing to crash to a watery death!Or they help stear ships out of storms to save them!They are very shy creatures and so thats why there have been vrey few sightings in the last 100 years.I hope we do find one at least in my lifetime,and I hope were kind to them and treat them with respect!We can learn from them and they from us!!!Take time to look at the picture page there awsome!!!!! |
