| Similarly the quantity you lactate also goes from one to two drops per breast to close to an ounce per breast when you are about week 36. Of course the quantities vary from women to women and even from one breast to another. You will notice that your dominant breast usually produces more than the other breast. Your dominant breast is usually your larger breast. It will also be your more sensitive breast. You will notice that your baby too will prefer your dominant breast more than the other. | So what does colostrum taste like ? The taste of colostrum varies from woman to woman, and from week to week depnding on how much pregnant you are. It usually varies between slightly sweet to slight salty (wk 30) and then sweet + salty (wk 40). Regularly expressed colostrum is sweet. |
