Running from yourself, you can't seem to find a home.
And trust the think you can't afford, you find yourself alone.
The cathode age has never seen a man as good as you.
And at three million bucks a year...they're coming after you!
Ooo, The Shockwave Rider, riding on the edge of the wave.
Now you gotta change your name...Shockwave Rider
Ooo, Shockwave Rider, staying just ahead of the game,
waiting for the end of the day...Shockwave Rider.
All alone, night, cold, dark abandoned street.
Knife and steel against human flesh, staying on your feet.
Man, machine, still, at best, how well you use your hands.
But the slow only find your shadow on the lam...
When they took the things from you you never had before,
and played your thoughts with parlor games, that you did so abhor,
The only thing that's left to see, as they probe your mind,
The plan that you have must succeed, you're running out of time.
This is inspired from a book of the same name, written by John Brunner and published in 1974. Mr. Brunner was inspired to write the book from Toffler's "Future Shock". It is eerie how many of the things Mr. Brunner and Mr. Toffler predicted are just now coming to fruition...The internet, tapeworms(viruses), Internet and Electronic banking, etc. I highly recommend you read this book!!
