The Ring of the Magi

Membership is open to those of pure heart, quick mind, peaceful nature, and a desire to make a difference in this world.

If there is sufficient interest, I shall further develop this site. If not I won't. The three courses of study are...

• The PHYSICAL course...Geared to those who are drawn to sports; the Martial arts, gymnastics...
• The ARTISTIC course...Geared to those who are drawn to the arts, or wish to create it...poets, musicians, artists.
• The MENTAL course...Geared to those who are drawn to cerebral pursuits, including debate, law, philosophy, and math.

Criterion and curriculae for exploring these courses will be laid out as I develop this site!

There will be field trips, books to read, and experiential things to do.
I intend this to be like a virtual Shao-Lin Temple or training pyramid;
the Ring is to be based loosely on Scouting, (but not limited to age or sex restrictions) with requirements met leading to advancement in rank.

The best part is, since it is a virtual collective, you shall be your own instructor, you shall be your monitor. It will be self directed study...and it should be a lotta fun! Check back often as I will begin posting requirements for advancement soon!!

To allay the fears of those who may think this sounds a bit...cultish...the requirements are things like:

• "go see a symphony orchestra...
  
• go to a high school football game...
• what is Einstein's time dilation formula?...
• write a computer program to investigate different speeds and ages with Einstein's time dilation principle.
• Organize a baseball game.
• Learn to play a musical instrument.
• Read a science fiction novel."
