Wooden Gate

So as I walk, walk to you
you say, tired of the old looking for somthing new
I say, why does that thought come to you?
You smile, what does it mean to you?

Look there, there is a wooden gate
as we walk, let's sit and wait
soon the birds will come, will come with their mates
and the sun will shine, if we are not too late

You say, you are, you  are too vague
the birds fly, the sun fades away
and the work you do, is what I think stays
and wait, never embrace

Look there, there is a wooden gate
as we walk, let's sit and wait
soon the birds will come, with their mates
and the sun will shine, if we are not too late

I said I know, you have seen the truth
saw too soon, not too good for the youth
and the birds have something, wise to say
and the sun fades away, but brightens the day
