Smoke-filled room

Things can never be clear
in a smoke-filled room
whitneys full of water
and a heart full of gloom

image of beauty when seen by the truth
seems distorted, hazy and dim

You never feel the pain till you bleed for someone else
like you ripped yourself open on a barred wire fence

Things can never be clear
in a smoke-filled room
with eyes full of water
and a heart full of gloom

The vision of mind is so wide and clear
then you lift up your eyes

You never feel the pain till you bleed for someone else
like you ripped yourself open on a barred wire fence

Review by Bilal Ahmed:

"One of the most influencial poems of my life.  Almost to the fact that I have listened to the words over and over.  Even play songs to it, as I was with Wade at that time.  Amazing bassist.  Really helped me understand the meaning of writing good quality music.  Hope everything is going well for you Wade.  Drop me a line if you get a chance..."
