We went to Universal Studios Islands of Adventure (that is a PAIN to tell people over and over), where I rode my FIRST roller coaster, which was this one, called the Hulk. It was the first thing our group headed for, and I wasn't going to go on it, till they said "C'mon Meghan!". I didn't think much about the roller coaster aspect of it, till I sitting in the seat. I started praying that I wouldn't throw up. But it ended up being so much fun! I had my eyes closed most of the time.. but I LOVED it! The two towers in the background is what we rode after the Hulk, and they shoot you up in the air-- I got up off my seat!
This is just people standing around, trying to get cool somehow. It was SO hot! This is Sarah, Brent, Sarah (turned around), Laura, and Kerri and Jared (our two youth interns).
My favorite ride of the day was the Spiderman ride. It was a 75 minute wait-- but worth it. It's a 3-D ride where you get glasses, and sit in this moving little train-like thing. Spiderman is trying to fight off evil people (of course) and it all happens in front of you, while your little vehicle is moving around. This guy that's "heat" or something blows a torch on you, and you get all hot from heaters. Then Spiderman punches a guy made out of water. You see all the water droplets coming at you, and feel water squirting. At the end you feel like you're dropped from a big city building, and even though we knew it was fake, April and I were screaming. Then you get caught in a little spiderweb. It was really fun!
