Let's Learn About...

                  Kindergarten Expectations:

In Kindergarten we learn about ANALOG and DIGITAL time.

Analog Time is the clock, with hands, a face, and numerals

to mark the passing minutes and hours.  These are examples of clocks

           that have faces and hands...

Kindergarten students should also recognize the face of a

DIGITAL CLOCK.  It will be a rectangular shape with                  numerals like this:

A kindergarten student should know how to tell time by the

                hour...12:00, 1:00, 2:00, 3:00...and so on.  We have practiced

setting an analog clock by leaving the minute hand on the 12

and moving the hour hand clockwise to set the hour.  We have

also practiced writing the time in the "digital way".
