It is said that the villagers took the body of the great General Gyebaek, who died with 5,000 men at Hwangsanbeol, and buried him here.
The General's tomb is located at Bujeok-myeon behind the Baekje Military Museum.
You park and walk up a short paved path lined on one side with glorious red bark trees, and with an arean on the other, to the tomb which stands in its own space surrounded by beautiful trees.
It was winter, and the snow had just fallen, so it was white and smooth around the tomb as it majestically stood, a solemn monument to a great general.
The mound was behind the monumental stone.
(I collected a brochure from the Museum, but forgot to check that the language, and its all in Korean. Sigh!!!)
