It is getting colder and colder here.

The apartments have heated floors, and this warms them up ,so its quite deceptive to see the sun shining outside, and feel pleasantly warm.

I wear a sweater and a skirt and walk outside carrying my coat. Within 5 minutes the chill winds make wearing the coat a necessity. Soon I put on my gloves and pull the scarf tighter around my face.

The nights are even colder. With the current clear skies it is so very cold. I walked home the other Tuesday night after class, and my knees were freezing. They were aching with the cold.  I wore my jacket hood over my ears and head and wore woollen gloves.

Wednesday  night I barely walked to the corner of the street. The winds bit through me like a sharp razor. I hailed a passing taxi as I realised it was far too cold to walk.

It is difficult not having any Korean. My friend has written the address in my diary, for me to show the taxi driver. He looked at it, and nodded, and drove me back to my apartment. There was no way I could stop him to tell him I had shown him the wrong entry. I went up to my room, searched the diary for the correct entry, and walked down and collected another taxi.

The leaves are now mostly all fallen and almost all gone. The leaves get swept up almost as soon as they fall. This photo is at the school and the leaves looked beautiful on the ground.

I have been taking autumn photos and selecting some to represent the cold and crisp autumn days of Korea. I love the colors here, and already they have gone and been replaced by branches.
