The kimchi here is what generally comes with a meal....a mixture of all these things that look a lot better than it tastes.
I generally pick at the seaweed or unidentified fungi, and eat that with rice using chopsticks which I now like, and Mr B gets me two eggs...which is that flat dish right in front of me...
The dish pictured is like a 'stew'...this one is the dog dish...and all the dishes look the same ..one may have a strip of pork, a leaf of cabbage and some tofu. another maybe chicken with the same, or tofu. What they all have in common is a watery chilli sauce which is hot.
When in Korea eating with koreans, I eat seaweed and bits of salted fish, which I do like. I try things, but don't like many of them...
I also liked the cockles, which are flavoured with soy sauce. They have these ingredients but don't seem to use them very much which is interesting.
The meal in almost every restaurant is as you see...and generally costs 4,000 each which is under $5.00 Australian. The dog costs an extra 7,000 won
