For three months I have been dining every week at this restaurant and another further down the road. I nibble at the Kimchi and when I got tired of the boiled chicken I started hassling for meat, and the other day when I was left alone for 10 minutes, I started talking to a couple next to my table, and discovered its a restaurant specializing in Dog.
The iron pot outside, which I thought was a copper, is a traditional cooking pot for cooking dog.
The garlic and eel I sort of nibbled at turned out to be pickled dog, and the meat that was always served was also dog.
I was appalled as I had told Mr B that I did not choose to eat dog.
On Friday I decided to take Daniel and Miri for lunch at the other restaurant which we also eat at. On the way I showed them this and they laughed, as it clearly said 'Specializing in dog " in Korean of course. I took them to the other restaurant, and they laughed again. It too is a dog restaurant. Sigh!!!!
They do have good food, so we enjoyed the Kimchi very much.
At least now when I go there, I will know to eat the fish and the rice and fried eggs.
Korea is fascinating....
