Chess is a game that traces it's beginning back into antiquity, as far as the Persian empire and beyond. Traditionally called the game of kings, chess has offeres countless fans the opportunity to test their strategy in head to head competition. Many times a pair has battled it out with spectators hanging on their every move. Often times the onlookers themselves were awaiting their own chance to play this most enduring of games.

Looking for a more social way to play grew into tress. To make a change in the fundamental; you need a fundamental change. With the replacement of the square with the hexagon (hex) and the addition of two playing pieces we have achieved that change.

Triad Chess ~ Tress ~
Charles and Scott teach their uncle to play Tress.
Tress is a version of the classic two player game designed for three players. Boards are handcrafted by the inventor, Scott, and his brother, Charles, with wood and ceramic construction. Each board is felt backed, numbered, and signed by the inventor himself. Each handsome board comes with complete instructions on how to play both chess and checkers in this artistic three player format.
